Anti-Censorship Popular Sites Ranking Service
Hundreds of thousands of web users residing in closed societies around the world have been using various anti-censorship or anti-jamming tools to circumvent Internet blockades created by totalitarian regimes.
While the users enjoy their access to information with the aid of these tools, the traffic statistics to visited sites were only known to a small circle of people. It was virtually impossible for the industry or anyone else, world governments, NGOs, and the academic community to utilize this valuable first-handed information in their research and decision-making to further the progress of Internet freedom around the world.
World's Gate (WG) took the lead to make the website traffic ranking information available to the public. The Ranking service was created to present the ranking information of sites visited through the world-leading global anti-censorship network of Global Internet Freedom Consortium (GIFC) member companies.
You can visit the Ranking service site and view histograms of website rankings, based on the amount of traffic, number of pages viewed, or number of server hits through GIFC network. One can also learn of the most popular websites visited, as well as the popular sites by categories and languages.
